Proficient in bulk liquid storage and transportation, adept in project management, regulatory compliance, codes/standards, and skilled in budget management.
Educational background includes BS and MS degrees from the University of Illinois at Chicago and an MBA from the University of Texas Permian Basin.
Personally impacted by Hurricane Harvey and its aftermath, and deeply motivated to safeguard the homes and businesses of Friendswood and League City from floodwater damage.
Dedicated resident of Friendswood for 14 years, married with four children and three grandchildren, deeply rooted in the community.
Maintain low taxes through a lean budget that efficiently funds District operations and prioritizes ongoing and planned projects.
Enhance online access to board meetings, recordings, agendas, meeting minutes, project information, and tax/budget data to ensure transparency and public engagement.
Implement a data-driven approach to prioritize and address vulnerable flooding locations, taking into account both local and regional impacts.
Promote projects that mitigate flooding and improve drainage while preserving the natural beauty of the streams in our district.
Foster and maintain strong relationships with key District partners, including the cities of Friendswood and League City, Harris County Flood Control District, US Army Corps of Engineers Galveston District, Texas General Land Office, and Gulf Coast Protection District.
